🐾 What an incredible day! 💚
Our Open Day at FDM Retreat & Academy was a truly special milestone — and we’re still smiling from all the wagging tails, happy faces, and wonderful conversations that filled our brand-new space.
We were absolutely blown away by how many visitors joined us throughout the day — including some who had discovered us through social media and wanted to explore what we’re all about in person. It was such a joy to meet so many new faces (both human and furry!) and to showcase our luxury retreat, grooming spa, and training academy, as well as the Ofqual-regulated qualifications we’ll be offering through the FDM Academy.
A special highlight for us was welcoming some of our newly registered students who came along to meet the team for the very first time. After chatting online during the registration process, it was wonderful to finally meet in person, show them around the academy, and share the excitement for the journey ahead. ✨
The day was made even more meaningful by our amazing friends from Guide Dogs UK, who joined us to raise money for the Puppy Appeal. Their stand was filled with fantastic merchandise, and we’re thrilled to say they sold plenty — all in support of a cause close to our hearts. 🐕🦺💛
🥳 We are incredibly proud to announce that we have raised a grand total of £153.30 for Guide Dogs UK Puppy Appeal! 💰 (Don’t forget, if you register for a course until the end of this month, FDM Academy will donate 15% of the course cost too!)
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true FDM celebration without lots of four-legged guests! We loved seeing so many dogs popping by for playtime, sniffs, and even a pamper — with our team offering nail clipping throughout the day. Every single one brought a smile to our faces and reminded us exactly why we built this space. 🐶✨
And the moment everyone was waiting for… the winner of our ‘Guess the Puppy’s Name’ competition! 🎉
We’re delighted to announce that the chosen name was Frank, and the lucky winner was Jean, who’ll soon be receiving a delicious postal cake box from Cambridge Luxury Bakes as her prize. 🍰
