We are incredibly proud to celebrate Sarah’s completion of her iPET Network Level 3 Award in Introduction to Dog Grooming — a fantastic milestone that supports her goal of safely and confidently grooming her own dogs and those belonging to her family.
The iPET Network Level 3 Award in Introduction to Dog Grooming is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to gain a recognised qualification while exploring whether dog grooming is the right career path for them. The course provides a strong foundation in practical grooming skills, animal welfare, safe handling, and industry standards, helping learners build confidence in a real grooming environment before committing to full professional qualifications.
Building Professional Dog Grooming Foundations
Throughout her training, Sarah developed essential dog grooming skills, including coat preparation, safe handling, bathing techniques, drying methods, and breed-appropriate finishing. The qualification has given her a strong understanding of canine coat types, grooming tools, and best practice standards within the professional dog grooming industry.
During her time with us, Sarah has groomed a variety of dog breeds, allowing her to gain hands-on experience and build confidence working with different coat textures, temperaments, and grooming requirements.
A Passion for Cocker Spaniels
Sarah has a particular love for Cocker Spaniels, owning two of her own and regularly supporting with grooming for other Cockers within her family. This has allowed her to deepen her knowledge of spaniel coat maintenance, including managing feathering, preventing matting, and maintaining overall coat health — all key elements of effective Cocker Spaniel grooming.
Continued Learning Through Industry Seminars
Alongside her practical training, Sarah has shown real commitment to continuing professional development. She has taken part in several industry seminars we have hosted, including:
- Cut Above the Rest with Mandy Carr
- Compassionate Grooming with Julie Harris
These seminars have helped Sarah broaden her understanding of modern grooming techniques, welfare-led handling approaches, and the importance of creating a positive grooming experience for every dog.
Looking Ahead
Completing her Level 3 Award means Sarah can confidently maintain her own dogs’ coats while supporting family members with their grooming needs. Her enthusiasm for learning, combined with her hands-on experience and passion for spaniels, sets a strong foundation for any future grooming development she chooses to pursue.
