Dog Grooming Courses

If your goal is to groom dogs to a high standard, this is the perfect course for you!

Training at FDM Academy you will gain hands-on experience by grooming at least 10 dogs and working with four different coat types.

This practical, skills-focused course is an excellent starting point for anyone looking to build strong foundations for a career in dog grooming.

You’ll develop your confidence and techniques under the guidance of our friendly, experienced Educators, ensuring you receive the support you need to grow your abilities.

For those who wish to become fully qualified professional dog groomers, we recommend progressing to the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management.

Course length: 15 days at FDM Academy

Training Time: 9.00am – 4.00pm

Availability: We offer flexibility, depending on our current bookings.

Study mode: In person practical training and online through your e-portfolio

Eligibility to complete this course: Learners must be aged 16 or above and able to follow Tutor instruction. They must be comfortable around dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments and able to work at level 3.

On completion of this course you will know whether you wish to pursue a career in dog grooming, being able to secure junior positions in dog grooming salons.

After this course, students can:
